Insurance Coverage for Lactation Consultations

Many insurance plans now provide coverage for lactation consultations, although some may limit the number of covered visits. Check the pink box below to see if your plan is eligible. If your visit is not covered, payment will be due at the time of service, and you will receive a Superbill and receipt to submit for possible reimbursement from your insurance.

After you submit your request for a consultation, the Lactation Network will notify you regarding your coverage. It can take 2-3 business days to process. Please note: Your individual plan may or may not be covered.

Cigna Plans Only

After you submit your Cigna member number, contact information and date of birth, Cigna will determine if you are eligible for six visits of care. A false answer means you are denied coverage, but it could be an error. Please reach out to Cigna to look into eligibility at lactationsupport@wildflowerhealth.com
